A2/After Alpha begins Jan. 19, 2021
For all Alpha graduates and anyone interested in trying
a Small Group/Life Group experience:
We are kicking off our New Life Course with A2 life groups on Tuesday, January 19, 7:00 pm, online via Zoom. “A2” stands for “After Alpha” and is intended to take you deeper into the Christian faith with a format similar to Alpha. First there will be a teaching time led by Rev. Ralph Kieneker on the life of Jesus, then we will break into small groups for discussion. If you are not in a life group and you would like to try on a small group experience, A2 might be a great way to do that! There will be 10-12 weeks where we look at Jesus’ life as explained in the Gospels; and during that time, we can grow together in community as we share life, build relationships, and pray for one another. We think Life Groups are a great way to nurture growing up in Christ.
NOW ON THURSDAYS – beginning Feb. 11: It’s not too late to join us! You just need an internet connection and a device (PC, laptop, tablet, or smart phone). Contact Shawn Bassler at firstname.lastname@example.org or Miranda Smith at email@example.com to get the Zoom link or to ask questions.
What is a Life Group?
Life Groups are small communities (8-12 people) who meet regularly (weekly usually) for short seasons (6 to 12 months). They foster community on a deeper level than is possible through just Sunday worship services. Life Group members share life, pray together, encourage one another in following Jesus as our leader and savior.
Each group has a unique flavor but all aim to nurture, encourage, and experience personal fellowship, Bible study, prayer, care, and service together. Everyone is encouraged to join a Life Group. They meet at various times during the week; in people’s homes and even some on the church campus.
